This eco-friendly Air Jordan 1 High sneaker features Persian rug-inspired fabric sourced from The Hundreds x Jason Seife apparel collection.

If you ever believed that purchasing environmentally friendly footwear meant compromising on style, you have yet to come across incredible shoe designers like Joe Allan of The Cactus Gentleman (@_joeallan). The Air Jordan 1 High “Persian Rug” is one of his plant-based inventions that is guaranteed to win over any doubters.

A Closer Look At The Sneaker

This stunning handcrafted design has crisp white overlays and side Swooshes made of cactus vegan leather—honestly, based on the photos alone, we can’t tell the difference between this material and traditional leather.

Naturally, Allan adds a Persian rug-inspired fabric in a combination of peach, blue, and red tones to the collar, quarter panels, toe box, and tongue. This stunning material was sourced from The Hundreds x Jason Seife apparel from 2022 and repurposed to create an eye-catching aesthetic on the classic Air Jordan 1.

To finish the look, the sneaker has a white midsole, icy blue outsoles, and a set of crisp white laces that tie everything together. The end result is a stunning pair of sneakers that effortlessly combines sustainability, artistry, and streetwear style.
